Destination – Renmark, South Australia

You’ll find the Renmark Resort half way between Berri and Renmark along the Sturt Highway.

Located adjacent to the famous Murray River, Renmark Resort is just short of a 3 hour drive from Adelaide, South Australia. Surrounded by the beautiful Riverland landscapes, Renmark Resort accommodation is only a short drive away from the shopping and tourism precinct of Renmark and the neighbouring township of Berri.

Our self-drive travellers will enjoy using Renmark Resort as their base as it is perfectly positioned between the two town centres, still enabling visitors to enjoy the serenity of the Riverland 10 minutes out of town. Within a close proximity from the resort are popular tourist attractions including the Murray River marina, riverboat cruises, paddle steamer, and kayak and canoe tours. Watersports, fishing and bicycle trials are popular among tourists and the locals, as well as a round of golf all year round.

Renmark is widely known for the cultivation of grapes, citrus fruits and vegetables which thrive on the surprisingly Mediterranean climate. A favourite among visitors are the almond and pistachio nut cultivations, unique to the area. Not to mention, as part of the wine capital of Australia, there are plenty of opportunities across the region to experience South Australian blends when visiting the many cellar doors on offer.

If you are driving North-east to New South Wales, consider a detour through the Riverland to break up your journey. Via the Sturt Highway, Renmark is the last major town encountered in South Australia along the commute to Sydney, New South Wales. The Renmark Resort is an excellent stop-over as part of a self-drive itinerary heading to Mildura or as a side trip for visitors coming into South Australia from regional Victoria or New South Wales.
